Technology, in context
The tool matters
when the reason does.
Ownership, authenticity, provenance, royalties, scarcity, portable digital assets, transparent contributions, and participation all need dependable infrastructure. First Edition uses technology where it makes those outcomes clearer or more trustworthy.
A practical definition
Some First Edition digital editions may use Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
A Non-Fungible Token is a blockchain-based method of representing a specific digital item or edition with verifiable ownership and transaction history.
First Edition uses this technology where it provides a practical benefit, such as proving edition ownership, maintaining provenance, or supporting programmable royalties. The token is infrastructure; it is not the creative proposition.
